Planning staff training sessions is no easy feat, as ex-Head Faith remembers only too well! Striking the balance between the sharing of information and setting the tone for the term ahead is an ongoing challenge for school leaders when it comes to those September, January or April inset days.
Humour for Humility is a practical staff training session, designed to break down barriers and encourage a sense of belonging. It explores the importance of humour in the workplace and how it can help us to present an authentic version of ourselves in the classroom and beyond. With the emphasis on fun, this session will develop the attendees’ understanding of how levity enhances gravity, and has the power to transform our interactions with staff, pupils and parents.
Humour for Humility, led by The Acting Head, is an engaging INSET session for school staff and leadership teams that explores humour as a core skill for building positive relationships. Through lively discussion and interactive exercises, participants discover how laughter, empathy, and humility can strengthen communication, ease tension, and foster trust across the school community.
